Mountain regions across the planet are on the front lines of environmental change. Alpine snowpacks and glaciers are critical and sensitive sources of seasonal streamflow.

Mountain ecosystems are being forced to adapt or move. Alpine rockfall, mountain geohazards, and wildfire frequencies and intensities are changing.

Our research aims to identify and measure how the mountains are changing, how they might change in the future, and what these changes mean downstream.
